EXCLUSIVE: Katt Williams Returns with “Scary Movie 5″; Says, “I Want My Crown Back!”
(AllHipHop News) Today (April 4) famed comedian, Katt Williams, spoke with AllHipHop.com in what was a uniquely candid interview scheduled as part of Katt’s media rounds for this Summer’s highly publicized movie, Scary Movie 5.
Among other things Katt spoke about his return to comedy this Summer, his recent string of incidents that brought about a media frenzy, his friendship with controversial Hip-Hop mogul Suge Knight and the return of Dipset.
While its been a while since Katt hit the big screen, Katt said he enjoyed the time to shine in Scary Movie 5 and said that being a part of the film was a “no brainer.”
“It’s my first foray back onto the big screen,” Katt Williams said in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com. “You know a lot of times when you get one of these offers coming across the table it’s like you have to work your magic and make something out of nothing and this is actually one of those circumstances where it’s already $ 800 million in. You know, it’s a true juggernaut and all of the people involved I respected. They sent me the list of people that they already had, so it was a no brainer and it was an opportunity for me to come in a shine a little.”
While Katt said he’s been taking a bit of a hiatus from the stand up comedy world, Katt says he will be back this Summer.
“Yea I’ve been not doing any actual live performances because I got fake promoters out there so I was letting them finish spinning their wheels out there, but this is definitely the ‘Summer of Katt Williams,’ I can promise that. They have talked him up again, yet again!” Katt said laughing.
In addition Katt weighed in on his name being brought up in the recent Twitter bout between fellow comedians Mike Epps and Kevin Hart.
“Well you know, first of all we have to understand that these are not two gentleman who are against one another, these are two friends, two guys inside the same peer group. So you know it happened on a public forum but really it was a personal conversation with them, so it doesn’t – I don’t have a problem with Kevin Hart, I never have, simply because I am a fan of comedy and judge a person by what they bring comedically. He said I ‘flipped out,’ is what he said so I kind of take issue with just the notion that that’s going on. But when people don’t have all of the circumstances, they aren’t able to rationally see whats going on and its presented however its presented.”

While Katt said he has no problem with Kevin Hart, he let the world know he is making a comeback proclaiming, “I want my crown back!”
“If I am the king, then my crown is not supposed to be able to be worn by anybody else. So now, that doesn’t mean that they not gonna try and put it on somebody’s head and walk him around and tell you that he is the king. But, the crown won’t match and the crown is gonna be too heavy for baby boy. So now all I say is, I want my crown back! The comedy Lord giveth and he taketh away,” Katt Williams said laughing.
“They gonna give the belt to whoever is standing there with their hand up, you know what I mean? The Hip-Hop fans are smart enough to know that everything that they do, there is an agenda behind what they are doing, they’re really trying to sell something so it’s a joy for me to get back to just selling funny.”
In parting Katt apologized to fans and regretted that they were subject to his highly publicized trials and tribulations.
“Yea I been going through it, as a fan I’m sorry that my fans have actually had to go through it all, but sometimes when you call the hatred down on yourself sometimes it does rain kind of hard. The important part is that they know I am completely aware of the comedy situation and it’s landscape and I am coming to rectify it.”
Check the trailer below for Scary Movie 5 below, and check back tomorrow for another update from Katt as he elaborates on his relationship with Suge Knight and the return of Dipset!!!

Dr. Dre Re-Confirms Eminem Is Working On New Album; Says Em Inspires Him
Royce Da 5′ 9″ already told AllHipHop the news, but Dr. Dre has reaffirmed that Eminem is wrapping up a new album.
The acclaimed Compton producer conducted an interview with radio show host Big Boy, making the reveal
“Em is finishing up his project. And for me, man, I’ve just gotten inspired again to go back into the studio, so I’m just really having fun with life and having fun with being creative and trying new and different things with myself, just trying to stay active,” Dr. Dre said. “As you know, it’s been almost 30 years for me in music. It’s a little bit difficult to keep getting inspired to get back in there but you know, music is my first love and I’m going to continue to do that as long as I can.”
In a previous interview with AllHipHop.com, Royce Da 5′ 9″ of Slaughter House and Em’s good friend revealed the reclusive rapper is about to sneak attack the music industry.
Royce told AllHipHop.com, “Know that he’s not quiet for nothing. If he’s quiet…worry. Marshall is like that f***ing huge spider on the floor and you wanna act like you not scared of it. And you’re really not that scared of it as long as it’s in your plain view but if you look away and it disappears oh you petrified, that’s Marshall. That’s Marshall and the petrified people are the rappers because you know he’s not going to come back with nothing but something that’s going to make you second guess what you’re doing.

Wale Says He May Drop Two Albums This Year
(AllHipHop News) Wale dropped by MTV’s RapFix Live this week to talk about his upcoming new music. On Wednesday he announced that his next studio album will be titled The Gifted and will hit store shelves and digital download sites on June 25th.
But what about the much talked about project with comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld?
“I told you I could drop two albums this year,” responded Wale when questioned about the Seinfeld assisted project.
The Maybach Music Group emcee did not elaborate more on the subject, like when that album may see the light of day, but he did say he has spoken to Seinfeld.

While The Album About Nothing is being put on the back-burner for now, Wale says The Gifted will be an LP that will have listeners reflecting rather than partying.
“I’m not gonna sit up here and be like, ‘Yo I’m making bangers for the summer, for the club’,” says Wale. “No, you gonna buy the album. You gonna sit there and be like ‘holy sh… I feel something’.”
One confirmed artist that will be helping Wale convey those heartfelt emotions on The Gifted is Stokley Williams.
Williams is the lead singer of the R&B band Mint Condition. The five member group is best known for their Top 10 hit single “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” from 1991.
“I’m following my heart and putting my soul and my passion into the music. I’m gonna let it speak,” conveys Wale.
The Gifted may be more of an introspective project, but Wale further hints that fans could get one more LP from him later this year with a completely different approach.
“I might drop another album before the year’s over and that’s gonna be another vibe,” says Wale.
The Gifted will be Wale’s third studio album. His prior releases are 2009′s Attention Deficit and 2011′s gold selling Ambition.
Wale dropped his 8th mixtape, Folarin, late last year. Folarin features production by Rico Beats, Jake One, Digi+Phonics and others. The tape also has several guest appearances including Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Scarface, and Trinidad James.
Watch the official trailer for Wale’s The Gifted due out June 25th below.

Steve Harvey Says Hollywood More Racist Than America
(AllHipHop News) Legendary comedian Steve Harvey has seen it all in his 28 year career which spans stand-up, television, movies and radio. In a recent feature with The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran funnyman claims Hollywood is more racist than America as a whole.
“Hollywood is still very racist,” Harvey says. “Hollywood is more racist than America is. They put things on TV that they think the masses will like. Well, the masses have changed. The election of President Obama should prove that. And television should look entirely different. [Scandal star] Kerry Washington should not be the first African-American female to head up a drama series in 40 years. In 40 years! That’s crazy.”
In another shocking revelation, the former star of the WB Television Network sitcom The Steve Harvey Show explains how African Americans are manipulated to help increase new television networks build audiences. According to Harvey, a WB executive once informed him new networks support shows featuring African Americans because they bring a guaranteed audience. However, once the network has developed a core fanbase “they slowly start phasing them out,” according to Harvey.
One of the hardest working men in showbiz is not letting some backwards racial thinking stop him progressing. The 2012 adaptation of his 2009 book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man entitled Think Like A Man has grossed over over $ 96 million worldwide with a $ 12 million production budget. His hosting gig at Family Feud has helped increase their ratings by 155 percent and brings in seven million viewers.

A$AP F3RG Explains “Trap Lord” Moniker; Says President Obama is a “Trap Lord”
(AllHipHop News) A$ AP F3RG from the A$ AP Mob recently sat down with Sway from Sirius/XM’s “Sway in the Morning” radio show.
Since being featured on A$ AP Mob mixtapes and countless singles of his own, A$ AP F3RG has quickly emerged as one of the A$ AP Mob’s strong suits over the last year.
A$ AP F3RG has been tied into the rap game for some time, because his father had a well-known t-shirt and logo designing business that acquired clients like P Diddy and others, who needed logos for their label.
On the “Sway in the Morning” show, hosts Sway and Heather B spoke with A$ AP F3RG about the definition of a ‘”trap lord” and what it means to him.
“Ay trap lord is the trill rap lord. Like like Robin Hood of the hood. It’s basically like you trappin, but you got the lord on you conscious,” A$ AP F3RG explained on Sirius/XM’s Sway in the Morning. ”Basically like gangster disciples.”
“Pac was a trap lord. Pac had a lil thug in him, thuggish ruggish – you know, but he still had the Lord on his mind. DMX was a trap lord,” A$ AP F3RG said. “It’s not even about a music thing, it’s a culture thing, it’s what you come from. Not just rapper, just anybody. You can be a Trap Lord and be from the suburbs, it’s just that little self inside your self.”
When asked by Sway if he felt that President Obama was a trap lord, A$ AP said “definitely,” elaborating that a “trap lord” doesn’t necessarily mean an individual is selling drugs.
“We need to applaud for the that, President Obama is a trap lord definitely because if you come from where I come from then you know ‘trapping’ is not just selling drugs. I never sold drugs a day in my life, but trappin is trapping is whatever you got,” A$ AP F3RG told Sway. “You could be trapping music, some people sell music on the street, CD’s and stuff like that. Trapping could be t-shirts, trapping could be selling fake Rolex’s, whatever to get by. Its all wrong, its like the black market, but you know you need to go back and put food on your table at home.”
No word on when A$ AP F3RG’s solo mixtape will be released, but fans of A$ AP F3RG can check his music on the A$ AP Mob mixtape called “Lord$ Never Worry” via LiveMixtapes.
He will also be on A$ AP Rocky’s upcoming debut solo project called LONG.LIVE A$ AP, where F3RG is showcased on the track “Ghetto Symphony,” which also features Maybach Music Group’s Gunplay.

EXCLUSIVE: Pusha T Says New Solo Album On the Way; “The Wrath of Caine” Mixtape Coming Soon
(AllHipHop News) Virginia rapper/G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T recently divulged information regarding his upcoming mixtape, The Wrath of Caine and the yet to be named solo album, which will release later in the first quarter of this year.
As of late, Pusha T has been actively dropping visuals and featured verses on G.O.O.D. music projects, but he has been doing so without No Malice, formerly Malice, and one half of the famed rap duo The Clipse, who recently re-devoted himself to God.
“I got my solo album coming out the first quarter, like the end of the first quarter. I think everybody has been hearing me as of late – plenty features, mixtape verses. To me, its like a new beginning. Really different without my brother. I gotta drive. I gotta drive for this game. I do it for what we [have] done musically. Some of the losses, I feel like we’ve taken with family. Its like, man, I want my people to see me get through this. And I want them to be happy about the noise I’m making out here,” Pusha T explained to AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview.
Pusha T was likely eluding to the 32 year sentence that his former manager Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez is serving in a federal prison after pleading guilty to running a $ 20 million dollar drug conspiracy.
“It was eight people. It was more than just my manager. Man, my friends been my friends for 15-20 years. If it was any less than that, we grew as close as my friends that I’ve known 15-20 years,” Pusha T explained. “So, I talk to, not all of them. I stay in touch with all their families. Going on, man, can be tough at times.”
Prosecutors’ indictment stated that Gonzalez ran a drug empire that had moved a half-ton of cocaine and over a ton of marijuana through Hampton Roads, Virginia, from at least 2003 until 2008.
The former nightclub owner is alleged to have received his drugs from Panama, Florida, California, and Arizona
Representing for his incarcerated family in the best way he knows, Pusha T plans to deliver The Wrath of Caine mixtape to the streets prior to the release of his full length solo effort.
“Look out for my new music, man. ‘The Wrath of Caine.’ ‘The Wrath of Caine’ mixtape dropping. It’s the wrath of caine,’ meaning cocaine. But its street, man. Mixtapes are where you get the uncompromised, 100% music. It’s just a really good outlet for me. And I feel like I’m speaking to my core more than anybody else. I feel like subconsciously, when you are making an album, if not yourself – everybody else around you and labels…there are certain things they are looking for, like radio. I think we’ve seen a lot of mixtapes in the last year better than albums,” Pusha T told AllHipHop.com of the project.
And while many fans are still waiting for a reunion from The Clipse, when asked if No Malice would make the album, Pusha T explained, “I don’t know yet. I haven’t necessarily found that record. He’s very capable of. He called me the other day with a record he wants me to be on.”
Until then, check the visuals that Pusha T dropped just before the New Year for his song “Blocka” feat Popcaan and Travis Scott.
More news as details emerge.

The upcoming album will be a sequel to Trouble Man and is rumored to be called Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown.

“Eh listen, man, there’s no denying or disputing of that,” Tip said when asked if he still feels he is the “King of the South.” “Honestly, before me the term ‘King Of The South’ didn’t even exist. Exclusive: Cassidy Says Meek Mill Doesn’t “Deserve” A Diss Record From Him
(AllHipHop News Feature) Philadelphia rappers Cassidy and Meek Mill have been engaged in a war of words on Twitter for the past few weeks, stemming from what might be considered a “phantom” offer to battle each other in the rap battle ring.
Their Twitter beef was put on wax when Cassidy released a song called “Diary Of A Hustla” recently that many people felt was a diss records toward Meek Mill. No so, according to Cassidy.
“That record was called ‘Diary Of A Hustla,’ I didn’t put that out as a diss record, but because we were going through the Twitter beef a couple of hours before I put it out, everybody called it a Meek Mill diss,” said Cassidy from the AllHipHop.com offices in Newark, NJ. “But that record wasn’t directed at Meek Mill’s; it was just a general rap.”
In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Cassidy made it clear that although he and Meek Mill have been stirring up Twitter with their back and forth rhetoric, Mill has yet to say anything disrespectful enough to warrant a diss record from him.
“If I do a diss record to Meek, it’s going to be on the ‘Ether’ level, if not worse. It’s going to be direct; you won’t have a hard time figuring out who I’m coming at. But I didn’t feel as though enough was done for him to deserve a diss record yet. He’s going to really have to get out-of-pocket, put me in a song or say something crazy to get a diss record.”
Warned Cassidy, “I would advise him not to do it, because if he jumps in the ring with me, it’s going to be problems. He knows what I’m capable of, and he knows how I get it in, so I don’t blame him for backing out. If I was him, I would have backed out, too.”
Watch the full interview with Cassidy below, where he warns Meek Mill to back down or “get his head cut off,” as well as reveals that he texted with Meek Mill and tried to dead the beef when it first ignited a few weeks ago:
Check out Cassidy’s new single featuring Styles P, Masspike Miles, “Bang Bang”.
