I have to say, A$ AP Rocky is doing a great job leveraging that brand of his to take it to the next level. He had a full spread in the newest GQ magazine! Pretty good! Welp! I can’t hate on that.
Once ASAP rapped, “We use to wear rugged boots, now it’s all tailored suits,” but I’m hearing his earlier style is getting a reboot. Get it? “re-boot.” The people around A$ AP Rocky are doing a bit of talking it is highly suggestive that the Harlem rapper is working on something incredible in business. It was basically saying that A$ AP Rocky has a deal with Timbaland to create a line of boots. Timbaland and Hip-Hop have a love / hate relationship, but it seems to be all love now. Interesting how Hip-Hop is loved and hated overall these days.

ASAP Rocky And Wiz Khalifa Hit The Road For “Under The Influence” Tour
(AllHipHop News) Wiz Khalifa and ASAP Rocky are about to take their respective careers higher with the Under the Influence of Music tour, where they will traverse across the nation together.
The pair launched the tour yesterday, ceremoniously during the weed holiday 4/20.
But, they are not touring alone as the pair bring with them a mini-cadre of artists to support the excursion. Other acts include B.O.B., Joey Badass and Pro Era, Trinidad James, Chevy Woods, Berner, and Smoke DZA will pop up through out the tour.

Hip-Hop Rumors: A$AP Rocky Distributing Pix Of Azealia Banks Doing Things With Her Mouth?
This is about to get ugly! Now, I don’t have the pics in my hot inbox, but I am hearing some stuff. (Email me at kingillseed@gmail.com if you happen to have what I am about to write about in your possession.) Basically, you know that A$ AP Rocky and Azealia Banks have been going at it, mostly on twitter. Well, I am hearing that A$ AP has some video or pictures of Azealia Banks going down low on some dude. I think the kids call it giving him “top.” Or maybe they still call it “brains.” Either way, I hear this is being circulated around the net as pay back. Not sure.

A$AP Rocky Chides Hip-Hop For Views On Gay Community
(AllHipHop News) Traditionally, Hip-Hop has not been inclusive of those that choose to live a homosexual lifestyle, but these notions are changing, especially with the younger artists.
A$ AP Rocky, one of the prominent rappers from New York, conducted an exclusive interview with Interview magazine speaking on how he changed his own personal biases.
“So now that I’m here and I’ve got a microphone in my hand and about 6,000 people watching me, I need to tell them how I feel. For instance, one big issue in hip-hop is the gay thing,” he said in excerpts published in The New York Daily News. “It’s 2013, and it’s a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It’s crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip-hop is small-minded or stupid — and that’s not the case. We’ve got people like Jay-Z. We’ve got people like Kanye. We’ve got people like me. We’re all prime examples of people who don’t think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they’re gonna represent me. And if I’m gonna represent them, then I also want to do it in a good way.”
He said his upbringing helped him change his views.
“I came up in a world that was just crazy — and it was hectic and kind of radical at the same time. For me, growing up in Harlem and then migrating down to SoHo and the lower East Side and chillin’ down there and making that my stomping ground . . . That was a big thing, because I’m from Harlem, and downtown is more artsy and also more open-minded,” he explained to the Daily News. “So I got the best of both worlds. It was like being on the streets and then being in school at the same time, and I tried to keep my hands in everything just so I wasn’t missing out on any fun. I just always wanted to be knowledgeable of my whereabouts, my surroundings, and what was going on with our generation.”

The latest rumor is is decidedly in A$ AP Rocky’s favor – hot chick alert! The word on the street is that Rocky bagged Chanel Iman, they chick from Victoria’s Secret. She’s 22 and he’s 24 and they were posted on Instagram all hugged up with matching Jordans! Its fashion week in NY or something…or maybe that’s next week. I don’t know.
Oh, just Ice called and wants his look back. Nah, I’m kidding. A$ AP rolls with goons. I’m not messing with him unless I’m rolling with Just Ice. He has a shotgun pump. LOL!

A$AP Rocky Only 5th NYC Rapper to Reach #1 in Last 5 Years
(AllHipHop News) At one point it was a regular occurrence to see a New York hip hop artist’s name at the top of the album chart, but over the last few years only a small hand full of rappers from the Big Apple have managed to drop an album that reached number 1. Less than a month into 2013 and one NYC newcomer has already met that feat.
According to Soundscan, A$ AP Rocky’s debut album, LONG.LIVE.ASAP, sold 138,503 copies in its first week of release. That total was enough for the Harlem emcee to secure his first number one album on the Billboard 200. He also joined Fabolous, Nas, Nicki Minaj, and Jay-Z as only the fifth rapper hailing from New York to reach that accomplishment since 2008.
While New York is regarded as the birthplace of rap music, over the last five years the center of power in mainstream hip hop has shifted below the Mason-Dixon line. Southern rap acts Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T.I., B.O.B, Young Jeezy, J. Cole, and 2 Chainz have been able to push a large enough number of units to see their respective LPs reach number one. Meanwhile the mainstream East Coast rap scene has been held up mostly by two New York legends from the 90′s and a pop-friendly performer who relocated to the south to start her career. A$ AP Rocky’s uncommon commercial appeal could be a landmark moment for New York rap.
Boosted by the Hit-Boy produced lead single, “Goldie” and the Top-20 hit “Fuckin’ Problems” featuring 2 Chainz, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar, LONG.LIVE.A$ AP reached the top spot despite the fact it leaked online a full month before its official release. The album was also a critical success. Metacritic.com gave the album a weighted score of 73 (signifying “generally favorable”) based on 31 professional critics reviews, 22 of which gave the album a “positive review”.
With several other rising New York artists garnering attention from online rap fans and hip hop media, A$ AP Rocky’s achievement may not be that much of an rarity in the new future. A$ AP Ferg, Azealia Banks, Flatbush Zombies, Joey Bada$ $ , and Action Bronson (the latter two were guests on LONG.LIVE.A$ AP) are just a few of the young New York rappers that are set to drop anticipated studio albums in the coming years.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Does A$AP Rocky Really Have A “F*ckin Problem”?
As far as I can see, A$ AP Rocky certainly does not have a care in the world! The Harlem rapper just released his new video for his hit single, “F*ckin’ Problem”, featuring Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and 2Chainz, and honestly, I’m writing this post because I just wanted a reason to post the video!
Although the track has been out for a while, the video definitely refreshes the song a little bit for me and reminds me of why I liked it so much in the first place. Check out A$ AP’s video for “Fuckin’ Problem” below:

Hip-Hop Rumors: SPACE GHOST PURP Arrested In Fight With A$AP Rocky Crew!
Whoooooaaaa!!! Now, the word on the street is that this is a real life beef. Now, you know these dudes don’t like each other at all, but guns bussin? Wow. Anyway, the word out there – actually all over the net – is that Space Ghost Purp was arrested in a fracas that involved members of A$ SP Rocky’s Crew. I don’t think A$ AP was involved at all. Nevertheless, the streets say this is about to get serious faster than the Flash if somebody doesn’t step in to quell the beef. Anyway, yeah…that’s cray! Meanwhile A$ AP has wrapped up his album and this is further promotion.
But my sources tell me that Space Ghost may have just been apprehended and not formally charged with anything. Stay tuned!
