Taking his act to an unexpected audience, Riff-Raff made his debut cameo on One Life to Live today (May 7), appearing as “Jamie Franko,” a shady Miami art dealer, who visits a popular hot spot, Shelter, looking for Cutter, played by actor Josh Kelly.

It was just a month ago that Riff Raff, who is signed to Diplo’s Mad Decent label, shot scenes for the episode is Stamford, CT as part of the soap opera’s development with Prospect Park’s The Online Network.

The media company recently revealed its plans to re-introduce One Life to Live, through a content deal that will bring premium first-run, broadcast-quality programming to a mass market audience via the Internet.

DEBATE: What Did You Think About “Fix My Life” With DMX?

DMX is once again the subject of much discussion in Hip-Hop and the show “Iyanla: Fix My Life” has shown the rapper in a way that we’ve never quite seen him. From the range of emotions – rage to despair to confusion – DMX showed us his soul. But, he disagrees completely with the show, stating that he was set up and that it has actually made his life worst. What did you think of the program and the #SupportDMX aspect of it?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Drake To Chris Brown: “I’m F***ing The Love Of Your Life”

HOLY COWPOLY! Drake thinks he’s the Godfather or something, B! According to a recent lawsuit by Chris Brown’s bodyguard, this just how the big fight started.

Drake sent a bottle over to Chris Brown’s VIP at a New York nightclub with a note that said, ““I’m F***ing The Love Of Your Life.” What in Sam Hill. That’s a G move not a move that Wheelchair Jimmy would do. At any rate, yeah man…damn. After that was sent, all hell broke lose.

Hip Hop Mogul Michael Williams’ “Guns 4 Greatness” Begins, Includes Life Mentoring

(AllHipHop News) This Saturday (March 30th), Brooklyn will witness its first-ever public and private sector gun buyback initiative for the New York City public called “Guns 4 Greatness”

[ALSO READ: Hip-Hop Mogul Proposes “Guns For Greatness” Program Featuring Tickets To Beyoncé & Jay-Z Concerts]

The initiative was envisioned and is spearheaded by legendary Hip Hop manager Michael “Blue” Williams. The gun buyback consists of people relinquishing guns to the program anonymously and subsequently receive a bank card for the amount designated for their type of gun. Operational guns are worth $ 200 and non-operational guns are worth $ 20. The initiative also attempts to address deeper, psychological measures of gun control and takes rehabilitative turn as each participant gets a card with a 10-digit number which allows them to receive introductory life mentoring sessions.

Guns 4 Greatness is potentially partnering with Beyonce and the New York Yankees to provide tickets to shows and games for participants who consistently attend their life mentoring sessions. As of late February there were also talks of including Jay-Z, who will be performing with Justin Timberlake at Yankee Stadium in July to be a part but no confirmation has been issued.

Williams held a press conference yesterday (March 27th) at Christian Culture Center in Brooklyn, NY. The event had a few distinguished speakers including Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Reverend A.R. Bernard, Rich Buery, Gregory Thomas and G4G Partners L. Londell McMillan as well as candidate for Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson.

Williams, who began this initiative after the alleged suicide of his good friend and legendary Hip Hop manager/power broker Chris Lighty, believes Guns for Greatness is an opportunity to practically fix the gun culture in New York City:

This is a chance to positively reinforce a young person’s decision to turn away from violence and show everybody that there’s another way. Our youth mean everything, and they deserve a different path than what’s often laid out for them.”No stop and frisks but involved

Williams is the CEO of the full-service  music management firm, Family Tree Entertainment which has a roster including Big Boi, Busta Rhymes, Eric Benet and many others He has helped raise over $ 75,000 for the initial launch and celebrity support from Mary J Blige, Nick Cannon, Jamie Foxx and many others.

The first Guns 4 Greatness event  is set for Saturday March 30, 2013 from 10am to 4pm at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY. There will also be buyback programs in urban communities all across the United States and prospective participants can make donations on the initiative’s official website www.guns4greatness.org.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Old School Rapper Is Fighting To Get Out Of JAIL FOR LIFE?

If you said this man, you are right!

Unfamiliar? OK, what about this image?

Do you know who Cool C is? If not, let me run it down really fast. The short, fast story is that Cool C is a dope MC from Philly that sounded a lot like MC Shan of the Juice Crew. The irony of that is Cool C game in the game with a furor dissing Cool G and the Juice Crew, who was really running the game at that time. They had Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Shante, Biz Markie, Master Ace, Craig G and a bunch of others! They were rocking out! Anyway, Cool C went on and overcame and scored a huge record with “The Glamourous Life.”

Peep:

Quick Quiz! Who is the girl in this video? She blew up later on in life!

So, The Hilltop Hustlers was the crew and they were good. So, at the same time, Cool C was blowing up, Steady B was doing his thing too. But, when the 90′s kicked in, it wasn’t happening. They tried to revamp with a new crew and name but nope. Somebody came up with the idea to rob a bank. They tried and the end result was the first death of a Black female cop in the line of duty. You may already know that, but here is the rumor.

Both men are in jail for life. Cool for the murder and Steady for driving the getaway car.

Cool C, however, continues to appeal, claiming innocence. I am being told that he’s got a pit bull of a lawyer that is trying to get him OUT. When I say Pitbull, I mean I am hearing he’s like a mob lawyer – CO-NECTED! From what I have been told, the lawyer strikes fear in the hearts of anybody that tires to get Cool C to speak on it or to do interviews. Now, here is the other thing. They believe they can get out of jail. I repeat: They believe that Cool C…CAN GET OUT OF JAIL, I heard. Can he? I’m not so sure. He’s been denied appeal multiple times already. From what I understand, they may be looking to put Steady B under the bus somehow? I don’t really know and I don’t recall the details of the situation off the top. I’m going off what I heard. Hit me at my email and let me know what you may know.

Here are the Hilltop Hustlers in their Hey Day. Notice Steady B giving the side-eye! Cool C is the tall one.

Here is Steady B now, with the legendary Philly DJ Tat Money.

For this one I take you back to the classics. Steady B * Tat Money Dj. Tat Money
I heard Steady B in a completely changed man and has mentally turned himself around, even if he will probably never see freedom again.
