EXCLUSIVE: Xzibit Previews New Album “Napalm” Featuring Dr. Dre, Game, Wiz Khalifa, Alkaholiks and More
(AllHipHop News) AllHipHop.com sat with Xzibit yesterday (September 14) in his studio in Los Angeles, to get an exclusive listen to his new project Napalm.
The album is Inspired by trips to United States bases in Iraq.
Xzibit gives fans 18-tracks that convey the raw emotion of the war that United States troops endure on a daily basis, while living in a combat zone.
The project also pulls together a host of features that X acquired over the course of a year and a half of recording.
While at the listening session Xzibit told stories of how the threat of violence was real when he was visiting Iraq.
From the threat of getting sniped in a helicopter, to dodging RPGs, the rapper saw what it was like to be in a real war zone, while touring nine bases in five different cities throughout Iraq.
“The response was dope, we were on the base that had Iraq and U.S. soldiers. Someone was screaming, ‘Concentrate,’ I could hear people were requesting my songs,” Xzibit told AllHipHop.com of his tour.
Xzibit was so inspired by the trip that he even included actual members of the United States Armed services in the song “Meaning of Life,” as Xzibit called on retired Staff Sgt. Shilo Harris to speak on the song.
The lead single on the project is titled “Up Out the Way” featuring E-40, while Xzibit’s son Tre Capital, who is now 17, is featured on Napalm also.
The album also features the introspective and emotional “1983″ that features Xzibit’s late mother and “Enjoy the Night” which features Wiz Khalifa and is produced by and featuring David Banner.
Dr. Dre also makes an appearance on the project, as X joins forces with Tha Alkaholiks and King T for the track “Louis XIII”
“The lyricists of the West Coast, we take our shit very personal we got myself, Game, Crooked I, and Slim the Mobster,” Xzibit said of the West Coast inspired anthem “Movies.”
Next Friday, Xzibit hosts his birthday party with Power 106 in Los Angeles.
Napalm is due in stores on October 9.

(AllHipHop News) Attendees at any of Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller’s “Under the Influence of Music Tour” stops have already seen the cover art for Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. as it was displayed on giant projectors as his set came to a close.
However, now the cover has been officially released for all to see. O.N.I.F.C., which is set to be released on September 18, is set to feature appearances from the likes of Cam’ron, Curren$ y, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd and, of course, members of his Taylor Gang camp like Juicy J, Chevy Woods, and Lola Luv.

Wiz’s next release will come in the form of Live In Concert, a collaborative mixtape with Curren$ y that will drop on tomorrow (August 9) on the three-year anniversary of the duo’s last project together, How Fly.
During a UStream event yesterday (August 7), Bad Boy recording artist Machine Gun Kelly announced an October 9 release date for his debut album, Lace Up.

The album is currently available for pre-order at MGK’s site in both a “Lace Up Bundle” and a “MGK Gold Pack Bundle” priced at $ 48 and $ 33 respectively. The “Lace Up Bundle” includes a deluxe Lace Up CD, a T-shirt, mugshot, meet-n-greet access bracelet, key chain and an MGK ticket code to be used during the rapper’s October tour.
Earlier in the week, MGK and his camp released the new single from Lace Up titled “Hold On (Shut Up)” which features Young Jeezy, which is the follow-up to the first single from the album, “Invincible” featuring Ester Dean, which was released at the beginning of the year.

With the release of Lupe Fiasco’s highly anticipated new album, Food and Liquor II: The Great American Dream, set for a September 11th release, the Chicago native has announced the album’s next single, “Lamborghini Angels,” for August 14. Those wondering what the record would be about need to look no further than a string of recent tweets from the rapper that said the song includes “disturbing content.”
Lupe surprisingly tweeted, “Lamborghini Angels…August 14th… #FL2…Warning: if you are easily offended or religiously sensitive DO NOT listen to Lamborghini Angels. Contains very disturbing content. Listener discretion is thoroughly advised.” ”Lamborghini Angels” will follow Lupe’s previously released singles “Around My Way” and “B*tch Bad.”

AHH Stray News: Wiz Khalifa Pushes Back “O.N.I.F.C.”; Kendrick Lamar Talks Debut Album Features; Asher Roth Changing Album Name
(AllHipHop News) During an interview with Fuse at one of his recent “Under the Influence of Music” tour stops, Taylor Gang captain Wiz Khalifa revealed that his sophomore album on Atlantic Records, O.N.I.F.C., would be getting pushed back about three weeks from its prior date of August 28 date to September 18.
The album is set to feature appearances from the likes of 50 Cent, Cam’ron, Curren$ y, 2 Chainz and of course members of his Taylor Gang camp like Juicy J, Chevy Woods, and Lola Luv. Production on O.N.I.F.C. is expected to come from Pharrell, Sledgren, Cardo, Jim Jonsin, Benny Blanco, and more. Wiz’s next release will come in the form of Live In Concert, a collaborative mixtape with Curren$ y that will drop on August 9, the three-year anniversary of the duo’s last project together, How Fly.

With two months until remaining until his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, is released, Kendrick Lamar has shed some light on the collaborations, or lack thereof, to expect when the album hits store shelves on October 2.
In an interview with CBCMusic Kendrick said, “I’m selfish – it’s all me. I’ve got to pick what feels right. I never go into it thinking, ‘I want to get these people on there.’ No, I don’t force nothing and right now it’s turning out to be all me.
“People get in this position and feel like they need the big producers, the big artists,” he continued. “I’m still hungry. I want to show and prove to the non-believers.”
The MC, who is currently sharing an XXL cover with producer and mentor Dr. Dre, did confirm, however, that all members from the Black Hippy group, including Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul, will appear on good kid, m.A.A.D. city. Kendrick will premiere the video for his new single, “Swimming Pools,” this Friday on BET’s “106 and Park.“
The release of Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange on Def Jam Records last month has caused fellow labelmate Asher Roth to change the title for his own sophomore album, which was to be called Is This Too Orange?

“Obviously, the initial title of the album was Is This Too Orange?, and out of respect for Frank [Ocean], and the project that he put together, he kind of beat me to the punch,” Roth told KarmaloopTV after his New York City performance for Peter Rosenberg’s “Real” Night of Hip-Hop last week.
“I just want to make sure that we have an original idea,” Roth continued. “I don’t want any connotation or any comparisons or anything like that, simply off of a name. We might have to start fresh from a namesake, might have the fans name it. We’ll see what’s up.”
Asher Roth’s currently untitled sophomore album is expected to be released this October.
